Like so many companies and rock bands before us, Miz Mooz was started in a New York City basement. Thankfully we’ve moved up a few floors since those early days in 2001, and we’re still proud to call NYC home. After a few seasons as an exclusive brand for a small chain of NYC stores, we found ourselves fielding calls from independent retailers eager to stock Miz Mooz in their own boutiques…

 

So we decided; why not! And with that, Miz Mooz as you know it was born.

From the beginning, Miz Mooz has been committed to the principle that fashion and comfort can happily coexist, and we refuse to sacrifice form for function. With this sensibility it’s easy to spot a Miz Mooz shoe, just look for our vintage styling, hand finished leather, and unique and unexpected detailing.

We don’t mind admitting we’re a goofy bunch here at Miz Mooz, and we wouldn’t want it any other way! When we’re not working to bring you awesome and amazing shoes, we can probably be found bowling, enjoying a raw seafood tower, or cracking each other up with absurd jokes. Or most likely all of the above!
